Overview
CPS (Cyber-Physical Systems) is an interdisciplinary field that features systematic integration of computation, communication, and control of physical processes, with diverse applications in many application domains, including robotics and automation, transportation (e.g., connected and autonomous vehicles), manufacturing, civil infrastructure, energy, healthcare, etc. The design and management of CPS pose significant challenges in multiple aspects of system dependability, including real-time requirements, fault tolerance, privacy and security, sustainability, reliability, scalability, and flexibility. This Special Issue addresses the following topics related to dependable CPS:
Dependability modelling, evaluation, and tools for CPS
Architectural frameworks and design methodologies for dependable CPS
Embedded systems design, including hardware/software co-design, for dependable CPS
Software platforms for dependable CPS
Safety, reliability and fault-tolerance in dependable CPS
Data analytics and machine learning in dependable CPS
