Special issue information:
------------
Since their discovery in the early 20th century, bacteriophages (phages) have been recognized for their potential in treating bacterial infections, an enthusiasm that was discouraged soon after the discovery of antibiotics. However, the increasing prevalence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria has renewed interest in their use as therapeutic agents. This Special Issue aims to publish findings and observations on the mechanisms of phage-bacterium interactions, as well as advancements and applications of phage therapy in humans and animals. Original research papers, reviews, and short communications are welcome.
