Ultrapure water (UPW) is commonly employed in industrial processes where precise water quality is essential for tasks such as product rinsing or temperature control. Its significance has notably risen with the expanding semiconductor industries, which play crucial roles in the advancement of high-tech sectors. Consequently, the demand for UPW is increasing, and the purity standards for UPW are becoming more stringent to meet the requirements of sophisticated technologies. Given that the source water for UPW frequently contains diverse dissolved substances, desalination technologies are critical for the production of UPW.
