Special issue information:
Sustainable finance, integrating environmental, social, and governance issues into financial decisions, is a central and hot issue in the finance discipline, drawing extraordinary attention from academics, institutional and retail investors, corporate leaders and employees, and regulators and politicians (Edmans and Kacperczyk, 2022, ROF). Furthermore, Starks (2023, JF) states that finance academics should be responsible and be able to distinguish the motivations for sustainable finance between investors and managers, which contribute differently to environmental, social, and governance investment approaches. Therefore, exploring sustainable finance with alternative data and examining how it impacts investors’ and corporations’ decision-making is essential.
This special issue aims to encourage global researchers to share knowledge and experiences in sustainable finance. We encourage participants with Outstanding Paper Awards from the 2024 International Conference on Sustainable Finance: Alternative Data and Behavioural Decision-Making, which will be held in Shanghai hosted by Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance, to contribute to this issue. The special issue is particularly interested in, but is not limited to, the following topics:
AI and Social Responsible Investment (SRI)
Big data in sustainable accounting and finance
Corporate behavioural decision-making in the digital era
Corporate ESG and CSR engagement
Climate change to investors’ behaviour and corporate decision making
Green finance and innovation
Data elements and firms’ digital transformation
Corporate Supply chain management
Sustainable finance with alternative data
